What is Filter X
Filter-X is a maximum strength filter cleaner that works by removing oil, grime and scale from sand, cartridge and diatomaceous earth filters.

Directions for use: (SHAKE THOROUGHLY BEFORE USE)

FOR SAND FILTERS:

1. To assure maximum draw from skimmer, close main drain and turn off all inlets and outlets.
2. Start backwash cycle as manufacturer directs.
3. Very slowly (during back) pour 6 ounces of this product into skimmer.
4. Continue to backwash as manufacturer directs until water clears.
5. Continue normal operation and open inlets and outlets.
6. The use of this product each time you backwash will result in a cleaner filter with longer times between backwashes.
   FOR CARTRIDGE FILTERS:
7. Remove cartridge from filter and apply filter cleaner top to bottom and allow to stand for 5 minutes.
8. Rinse with plenty of water and replace in filter to return to normal operation.
   FOR D.E. FILTERS:
9. Backwash filter.
10. Remove filter grids from filter.
11. Pour this product onto grid surface and allow to stand for 5 minutes.
12. Rinse and replace grids in filter to return to normal operation.
